We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Project/Program Manager in Seattle. WA. The selected candidate will be accountable for the comprehensive management and completion of projects and programs. The role involves setting timelines, delegating tasks, tracking progress, and generating reports for senior management.
This is a HYBRID role - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!!!
Overview:
Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program. Oversees all aspects of projects/program. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of project and program management, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks.
Establish deadlines and delegate duties to team members, fostering a team environment where everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Monitor the progress of projects and programs, keeping a close eye on timelines and milestones.
Prepare detailed reports on the status of projects and programs for upper management, facilitating informed decision-making.
Utilize broad knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures to effectively manage projects.
Rely on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and achieve project goals.
Lead and direct the work of others, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
Encourage creativity and innovative thinking within the team, fostering an environment where new ideas are welcomed and explored.
Ensure adherence to quality assurance practices and procedures, maintaining high standards across all projects and programs.
Day to Day:
- Team runs this program in accounting that is focused on a set of goals - need for the PPM to report on these goals:
- Gathering feedback on the progress of the goals
- Highlighting key challenges
- Communicating that through bimonthly emails
- Scheduling/facilitating meetings to discuss progress of these goals
- Be working on a few other businesses launches that come and go (intakes received through the year)
Requirements
Years of Experience required:
- at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
- PPM experience required
- Familiarity with oraclerequired
Degree's/cert required:
- Preference in accounting degree or minor
- Accounting literate but doesn't need to be an accounting
Resume stand outs:
- Previous PM experience working on accounting/finance would be preferred
- Work in a tech company that uses a distributed computing environment would be nice (ADP - payroll software)
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in Planning and executing complex projects within given timelines
Proven ability to establish Procedures and implement them across multiple teams
Track record of monitoring Progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful project completion
Knowledge of industry Practices and ability to apply them in a variety of contexts
Ability to Prepare Reports that accurately reflect project status and future projections
Experience in Coordination of large teams and managing diverse skill sets
Creativity in problem-solving and devising innovative solutions to project hurdles
Proficiency in QA Management to ensure the highest quality of project output.
