Description:
Job Role: Embedded Software Engineer

Role Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain real-time embedded software applications. These applications include software products related to image processing, target detection and tracking, missile guidance/navigation/control algorithms, missile launchers, system control, built-in test, and system communication. Development will be primarily in C++ on a Linux-based environment or using real-time operating systems like VxWorks or Integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain real-time embedded software applications.
  • Work on software products related to image processing, target detection and tracking, missile guidance/navigation/control algorithms, missile launchers, system control, built-in test, and system communication.
  • Utilize C++ in a Linux-based environment or real-time operating systems such as VxWorks or Integrity.
  • Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, code implementation, integration, and testing.
  • Provide technical task leadership and/or serve as a subject matter expert in relevant areas.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with standard communication busses and protocols (RS-232, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet) is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong background in real-time embedded software development.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with source code control and issue tracking tools.
  • Proficiency in using modern test tools for unit testing and static analysis.
  • Ability to configure and manage a continuous test environment.

Bonus Skills:
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security principles.
  • Experience with Department of Defense products.
  • Familiarity with board support package and device driver development.
