Oracle EPM Developer (Planning & Budgeting Fusion Integration Focus

Position Type: Contract
Location :: Jacksonville, FL, United States
Onsite Flexibility: 100% Remote

Description:

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Developer to support an enterprise-wide planning and forecasting transformation. This role will focus on optimizing Oracle EPM Planning configurations, improving integration workflows, and implementing scalable user input solutions using Smart View. The ideal candidate will be adept at aligning technical solutions with evolving business structures and functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconfigure planning structures to support budgeting and forecasting at a more granular client level, shifting away from legacy parent-level aggregation.
  • Analyze, update, and test data load rules, metadata, and business rules in Oracle EPM Planning.
  • Develop and deploy Smart View-based templates and Excel macros that allow field users and business leaders to input forecast and budget data without accessing Oracle directly.
  • Automate the distribution and collection of planning templates, with secure and auditable integration of user-submitted data back into EPM.
  • Address changes in dimensional structures, and ensure proper alignment between ASO and Financial Statement (FS) cube logic.
  • Define and build new accounts or alternative dimensions to support expanded planning requirements.
  • Deliver efficient, license-minimizing solutions that support distributed input and centralized reporting.
  • Document technical configurations and support cross-functional training and enablement efforts.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle EPM Planning (EPBCS/PBCS)
  • Expertise in cube architecture including ASO vs. BSO/FS cube mapping and optimization
  • Proven experience updating and maintaining business rules, data load rules, and metadata structures
  • Proficiency in Smart View, including creating and automating Excel templates with macros
  • Strong ability to translate functional/process changes into effective technical integration and configuration adjustments
  • Experience with dimensional modeling and hierarchical planning/reporting logic
  • Ability to design solutions that reduce user license dependency while maintaining secure, auditable data flow
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with business and IT stakeholders
