We are seeking a talented BI Architect with deep Looker expertise to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing our Business Intelligence (BI) strategy. You will be responsible for the entire BI architecture, from data acquisition and storage to analysis and presentation, leveraging Looker's capabilities alongside other industry-leading BI tools.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a scalable, secure, and future-proof BI architecture, utilizing Looker as the primary platform while integrating with other BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) as needed
  • Develop data models in LookML, optimizing data flow, transformation, and integration specifically for Looker, while maintaining familiarity with other data modeling techniques
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights using Looker dashboards, reports, and Explores, alongside other relevant BI tools
  • Ensure data governance, security, and quality standards are met within the Looker environment and across the entire BI ecosystem
  • Develop and maintain LookML models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation, while staying up-to-date on best practices for other BI tools
  • Mentor and guide junior BI developers and analysts on Looker best practices and provide guidance on other relevant BI tools

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in BI design and development
  • Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices
  • Expert knowledge of Looker, including LookML development, data visualization, and administration
  • Experience with integrating Looker with various data sources
  • Experience with other leading BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Amazon Redshift)
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Experience with data visualization techniques

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Travel Expectation: up to 10%
