We are seeking a DevOps Engineer II to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing technical products and systems while ensuring operational excellence and continuous delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and processes.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
- Develop monitoring solutions, perform software maintenance, and implement fixes.
- Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
- Recommend testing techniques and process improvements.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in engineering or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
- Experience automating software deployment using Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
- Proficiency with Jenkins for continuous integration.
- Ability to work with a wide range of open-source technologies and tools.
- Hands-on experience with systems and IT operations.
- Data management skills with a focus on automation tools.
- Proficient in revision control systems (branching and tagging strategies) using GitHub.
- Experience provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS and OpenStack preferred).
- Strong scripting and coding background for deployment and network operations.
- Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
