We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Engineer (m/f/d) to join our dedicated team. Bring your expertise and help us deliver exceptional support and advice to our customers across the DACH region.
As a Senior Application Engineer, you'll be technical go-to person for our customers and internal teams. You'll leverage your in-depth technical knowledge and strong customer focus to ensure the success of our products and solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Engineer (m/f/d) to join our dedicated team. Bring your expertise and help us deliver exceptional support and advice to our customers across the DACH region.
As a Senior Application Engineer, you'll be technical go-to person for our customers and internal teams. You'll leverage your in-depth technical knowledge and strong customer focus to ensure the success of our products and solutions.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Technical Expertise & Consultation
- Be the primary contact for complex technical inquiries on Copeland products, including spare parts, replacement models, and alternatives.
- Provide strategic advice to customers on the implementation and integration of new, innovative products and technologies.
- Deliver technical consulting for customers across the D-A-CH region - via email, phone, and on-site.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
- Support the sales team in resolving customers' technical challenges.
- Confidently troubleshoot and resolve customer issues remotely and on-site.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Application Engineering, R&D, Quality) to develop sustainable solutions.
Support & Collaboration
- Offer technical expertise to sales and customer service teams.
- Champion the launch of new products and support on-site commissioning.
- Work closely with international departments and manufacturing plants.
Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Create, review, and optimize technical documentation and marketing materials.
- Develop and verify local technical translations.
- Maintain up-to-date customer and technical data in our CRM.
Training & Quality Promotion
- Develop and conduct technical training for customers, sales partners, and internal teams.
- Represent Copeland at trade fairs and training sessions, including educational institutions.
- Participate in quality reviews with customers, coordinate tear-down analyses with the quality team, and review customer invoices for accuracy.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Successfully completed training as a refrigeration mechatronics technician, refrigeration systems master craftsman, technician, or an engineering degree with a focus on refrigeration or process engineering.
- Several years of experience in a similar role, ideally in application engineering or technical support.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent analytical skills and a solutions-driven working style.
- Team player with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent German, both spoken and written, is essential.
- Good command of English for international collaboration.
- Initiative, commitment, and willingness to take on responsibility.
