Role: Senior DCS Infrastructure Engineer - Network.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Onsite 100%).

Duration: Long Term Contract.

Open to: C2C (Corp-to-Corp) Candidates.

Job Summary:

A Network Engineer is adaptable, creative and interested in being part of a new, dynamic, infrastructure engineering team making a difference. The team focus is innovation and automation. The goal is to deliver 24x7x365 high-availability IT services for an energy efficient semiconductor company. The Network engineering role requires versatility along with creativity. The ideal candidate will know how to think outside-the-box and will share in responsibilities for automating and supporting the provisioning, configuration and management of Network infrastructure running in a hybrid cloud environment. This role will include working closely with application and infrastructure developers to handle rapid platform deployments and releases. Adhering to industry best practices and compliance in support of customer business objectives and user community experience is of utmost importance.

Performance Objectives:

The successful candidate will have the Opportunity To:

  • Build efficient life cycle management methodologies of network infrastructure with an automation first mindset.
  • Adhere to best practices and procedures for IT Network infrastructure management through daily system monitoring and verifying the integrity and availability of network resources.
  • Serve as an escalation point for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving Network infrastructure related issues in production, QA and DEV environments.
  • Adhere to periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Monitor and perform ongoing performance tuning, resource optimizations, and make improvement recommendations.
  • Willingness to provide after hours on-call support.
  • Find ways to report metrics and analytics on the health of Networking technologies.
  • Coordinate meetings and communicate with non-technical staff on project.
  • Build and implement Network designs using reference architectures for project and operational needs.

Must Have:

  • Cisco CCNP/CCIE R&S with Good ACI & SDWAN Background.

Requirements:

  • Years of experience: 8 - 15 years experience with CISCO LAN and WAN administration.
  • Passive cabling identification, connecting and preparing cross connects, installation to the cabinets, orientation in DC.
  • F5 Admin / HAProxy knowledge.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) from a regionally accredited institution. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences, Information Technology, or Software Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Infrastructure automation experience using Ansible, Terraform, Perl, PowerShell, Puppet, Chef or other languages can be beneficial.

Certification: At least one of the following Certifications:

  • CISCO certification.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist.
  • Automation Certification.
