Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Process Technician for a contract position in Maple Grove, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary:
This position works independently to assist Process Development engineers, technicians, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Develop, set up, and run injection molded components
- Troubleshoot molding processes that are not fully optimized.
- Collaborate with PD and Manufacturing to develop injection molding processes for prototype designs.
- Prototype new components and provide samples for performance testing.
- Develop concepts and construct prototypes/products from concepts.
- Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
- Qualify tooling and fixturing to ensure intended use.
- Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to the design and process concepts.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- May perform routine maintenance of some laboratory equipment and support laboratory equipment strategy
- Act as a resource and mentor to other employees in the group.
- Train and work with production staff to ensure proper implementation of NPD processes.
- Communicate project status to project teams.
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in the related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
- Injection Molding Experience
- Scientific Molding/Molding Process Development Experience a plus
