We have a requirement for an SCCM Consultant with our direct client, the State of Ohio.

Overview

The Senior SCCM Expert will provide technical expertise and leadership in managing and enhancing the organization s endpoint environment. The consultant will support system upgrades, optimize configurations, and mentor internal staff to establish best practices in SCCM management.

Responsibilities

  • Group Policy Updates: Update and optimize desktop environment group policies to improve PC performance and reduce boot times.
  • Windows 11 Upgrade Enhancement: Engineer and automate the upgrade process from Windows 10 to Windows 11 using scripting and debugging tools such as PowerShell.
  • SCCM Packaging: Package and deploy software using the latest techniques for UWP and MSI-based applications.
  • Technical Debt Projects: Assist in migrating device management from AirWatch to Microsoft Intune for end-user devices, including iPhones and tablets.
  • Mentorship: Mentor ODT IT employees and establish SCCM best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with MECM/SCCM.
  • SCCM/Intune Certification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across business and functional teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time and resource management to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of prioritization based on system and user requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in English with clear and effective communication.
  • Strong influence, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a lead role on Endpoint teams.
  • Ability to solve problems and debug independently.
  • Ability to mentor and train current ODT employees.
