Position Summary

The Director of Operations oversees all aspects of critical facility performance and operational management across multiple data center locations. This role ensures uptime, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction through strategic leadership, process discipline, and technical oversight. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with deep technical expertise in data center operations, facilities management, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for multiple data center campuses, ensuring maximum reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Direct and mentor regional operations managers, facility managers, and critical technicians.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems.
  • Develop and execute operational policies, procedures, and KPIs in alignment with company standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and sustainability teams to support capacity growth and site expansion.
  • Ensure all activities comply with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental and sustainability goals.
  • Lead emergency response, incident management, and root-cause analysis for operational events.
  • Monitor budgets, capital projects, and vendor relationships to maintain operational excellence and cost control.
  • Cultivate a customer-first culture ensuring rapid response and consistent delivery of superior service to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (Master s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in mission-critical or data center operations, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading large teams and multi-site operations.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems in high-availability environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects and operational budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
