Day-to-Day Responsibilities
A typical day for a Cloud Test Analyst II involves executing and maintaining test cases for CBIC applications such as the Connexion portal, hosted in the CMS Cloud (built on AWS). The analyst utilizes TestRail to manage test plans and track execution results, while Jira is used to log and monitor defects within Agile sprints. They collaborate with developers and business analysts during daily stand-ups and use Confluence to document test strategies, user stories, and release notes.
Responsibilities include performing functional, regression, and integration testing, validating application behavior in cloud environments, and ensuring compliance with CMS security and performance standards. The analyst is also involved in creating and reviewing test data for cloud system changes, coordinating implementation activities, and supporting debugging efforts within the IT environment.
Additional duties involve leading and supporting administrative tasks related to cloud testing and analyzing data to support software process evaluation and continuous improvement. The analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the quality, reliability, and compliance of cloud-based healthcare applications.
