U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Streaming in Seattle, Washington.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Streaming will be responsible for leading a migration effort to move bank streaming applications to cloud (Azure, AWS). Develop architecture to optimize scalability, throughput and latency for streaming platform that handles bank transactions. Operationally maintain the Kafka Platform (distributed event store and stream-processing platform) responsible for storing data and making it available for internal clients via APIs and spring boot applications. Test software applications and various modules in accordance with development standards and procedures. Design and develop CI/CD pipelines to migrate bank applications to Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Scale and develop bank's streaming platform by integrating with innovative technologies like Flink. Review software designs and architecture for teams within the bank. Collaborate with other software engineers in code reviews and debugging issues. Perform assessment on choice of technology stack selected and maximize reusability of existing technology and components. Review the operational dashboard periodically and help the team to keep it up to date. Effectively handle on call and close down on high severity issues. Impart expertise on various technologies within and outside U.S. Bank to make right design choices for the product. Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires at least a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining software applications; (b) following Agile methodologies for sprint planning and scrum; (c) using CI/CD for automated code deployment; (d) collaborating with other software engineers in code reviews and debugging issues; (e) utilizing all of the following: DevOps; Microservices; JSON; IntelliJ; REST API; Junit, Cloud platform (Azure/AWS); Git; and Java.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $185,058 - $194,500 (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
