Job Details

Position- Cybersecurity Architect

Location: St Paul, MN (Only 20 hours a week. 5 days onsite)

Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to lead the security review and risk management of generative AI (GenAI) solutions across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for evaluating GenAI use cases, evaluating and risk scoring the solution, ensuring alignment with security governance processes, tracking overall status of and ensuring each use case goes through required cybersecurity gates, and facilitating technical assessments such as threat modeling and penetration testing. In the first few weeks of the engagement, the individual will provide input and assist with the definition of GAI review processes, Abbott-specific criteria for GAI use case review, and provide feedback on the existing processes. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in refining existing processes and writing actionable recommendations.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

Professional Experience:

  1. 7+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years focused on emerging technologies such as AI/ML or cloud-native applications.
  2. Experience conducting threat modeling, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
  3. Familiarity with GenAI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face) and their security implications.
  4. Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).

Certifications (Preferred):

  1. CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
  2. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  3. Certified AI Security Specialist (CAISS) or equivalent (if available)

Skills:

  1. Excellent analytical and communication skills
  2. Ability to translate technical risks into business impact
  3. Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
  4. Experience with secure SDLC and DevSecOpspractices
