Job Details

The Wireless & DNAC Engineer provides top-level support for a complex global network, with a primary focus on wireless infrastructure and Cisco DNAC/Catalyst Center. This role ensures operational readiness, resolves escalated network issues, mentors Tier 2 staff, and collaborates with engineering and architecture teams to maintain and improve network performance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support for wireless infrastructure (Aruba, Cisco DNAC, Cisco WLCs, Cisco Prime, ClearPass).

  • Manage routing and switching (EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, Spanning Tree, overlays).

  • Conduct packet capture and analysis (Wireshark, Netscout NGenius).

  • Ensure operational readiness for new deployments and technologies.

  • Partner with architecture teams to integrate systems into production.

  • Mentor Tier 2 engineers and improve documentation and monitoring standards.

  • Participate in major incident response and problem management.




Secondary Skills (Preferred):

  • Exposure to data center technologies (Cisco Nexus, F5, NetScaler, MPLS, VRF, FabricPath).

  • Experience with WAN, carrier circuits, and Riverbed accelerators.




Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CCNP, ACSP, ACMP, or RCSP preferred.

  • Expertise: Cisco & Aruba wireless technologies, DNAC, TCP/IP, OSI model, packet analysis.

  • Experience: 10+ years in network operations and engineering roles.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation.
