Job Overview
The Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS), Human Resources Administration (HRA) division, is seeking an HCM Training Specialist to support statewide agencies in implementing talent solutions, talent acquisition support, and performance management programs.
This role will focus on delivering high-quality training, consultation, and technical expertise related to Workday (GA@WORK), ensuring that state agencies are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to optimize talent acquisition and performance management.
Responsibilities
Deliver training and develop content for the State s HRIS system Workday (GA@WORK).
Train agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship program creation, interviewing and hiring best practices, and Workday recruiting features.
Conduct instructor-led training both virtually and in-person.
Maintain and update training materials, handouts, exercises, and exams.
Research best practices in Workday training to enhance continuous improvement.
Support and administer the HRA Learning Management System (LMS).
Analyze Workday-related data and generate reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Collaborate with stakeholders and respond to training-related requests.
Support system implementation, process updates, and policy-driven changes.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years experience delivering training through multiple methods (in-person, online, virtual, multimedia).
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), able to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Program/project management skills detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Aptitude for learning new technology and applying it in training design and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization, or other Workday modules in an HR department.
Experience with HRIS systems training.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and 3 years of HR-related experience, OR
1 year at the HR Specialist 2 level (HRP021) or equivalent role.
Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.
Additional Details
Hybrid role must be local to Atlanta, GA.
Occasional travel may be required.
DOAS follows a flexible telework schedule with some required in-office days.
