Job Summary
Responsible for a broad range of tasks including the administration, installation, patching/upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting of various middleware products running on Linux and OpenShift environment. The individual in this position interacts closely with product vendors and service providers and personnel from various IT departments including Application Development, Operations, Network, and Enterprise Architects. .
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience working with the latest versions of IBM WebSphere Products, Apache, Tomcat, IBM HTTP server.
Hands on experience with administering and architecting middleware environments, including upgrades, patches, deployments, configurations, root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Scripting experience in python scripting.
Developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for automation.
Support and troubleshoot applications running on RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
Experience with Operators and Kubernetes.
Monitor system performance metrics and latency using datadog/dynatrace monitoring tools.
Implement POCs, research, evaluate, propose and design new solutions for end-end automation using Infrastructure -As-Code.
Build and Maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, Github.
Monitor openshift, applications and systems logs and traces using Elastic Stack.
Familiarity with administering hybrid cloud environments in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform including Terraform.
Knowledge of DevOps principles.
Experience with Wireshark or other networking tools for troubleshooting issues.
Familiarity with load balancer rules in NetScaler.
Hands on experience working with various vendors ( raising PMRs/support tickets) for problem resolution, product roadmaps and technical guidance.
Response to incidents, on call rotation
