Job Details

The Solution Architect is a cornerstone in our Digital Architecture Delivery team, bringing the latest technical thought leadership and architecture/design skills to lead cutting-edge solution design/development to align with business objectives. In this pivotal role, you'll evaluate and advocate for innovative platforms and products, designing scalable and robust architectural patterns. Your remit includes optimizing cloud efficiency, ensuring system reliability, and establishing best practices across development teams. You will partner with internal and external teams, ensuring seamless integration of DevSecOps practices and managing the full lifecycle of our technological solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT work experience, preferably with 5 or more of them in a solution architecture role.
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience in large, cross-functional teams, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Advanced expertise in architecture, application design, system engineering, and integration. Experienced in leading Mobile build and deployment activities on multiple platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies, Java, J2EE, and with a focus on Angular Skilled in partnering with various architecture disciplines in software development.
  • Experience with software integration patterns services, eventing, SOA (both REST and SOAP preferred).
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly through self-study.
  • Experience with AWS cloud, PAAS, SAAS, and IAAS. Experience working within a DevOps environment.
  • Support team members in developing and maintaining the technology roadmap, and portfolio landscape documents for one or more portfolios to guide long-term technology investments and decisions.
  • Evaluate technology platforms and products and make recommendations that align with business goals and enterprise/portfolio technical direction.
  • Develop decision trees for portfolio/enterprise usability to aid in complex decision-making processes.
  • Conduct both technical and non-technical risk assessments on application health, cost, performance, security, etc., and lead the remediation efforts by addressing the gaps and providing actionable insights to application development teams for improvements to the system architecture, tech stack, design approach, implementation and/or testing techniques. Ensure governance in corporate security measures and tech debt management across systems within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and App Architects to develop incident response procedures/playbooks and potentially support App teams in high-risk or high-impact incident analysis and remediation.
  • Track and help identify the strategic skills required for both the Portfolio/Enterprise Architecture team and personal development to ensure the department remains technically competitive.
Project Delivery:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes and deliverables that meet individual business unit requirements as
  • well as enterprise requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive Solution architecture documents (SADs), ensuring they are updated with the latest changes as the project progresses sprint by sprint.
  • Conduct design reviews, code reviews, etc. to ensure project adherence to established architectural standards and guidelines
  • as well as various enterprise standards for data security/privacy, application/cloud security, etc.
  • Support the application team in defining testing criteria and establishing performance benchmarks for the solutions being designed.

  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
