Job Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Leader who brings both technical depth and visionary leadership to our platform engineering and client delivery teams. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond provisioning and drives continuous evolution in how platforms are deployed, secured, observed, and scaled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators.
• Establish secure, scalable, and observable platforms for Spring Boot microservices across customer environments.
• Drive rollout and adoption of Istio service mesh for secure, resilient service-to-service communication.
• Architect and implement secure storage and access using HashiCorp Vault or equivalent for secrets, tokens, SSL certificates, and key rotation.
• Oversee SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management and secure ingress across Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate with architecture and security teams to integrate with customer Identity Providers (IdPs) supporting SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and enterprise SSO protocols.
• Optimize build-test-deploy pipelines using modern CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Build and refine observability across environments using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, etc.
• Promote best practices around GitOps, policy-as-code, automated security scanning, and configuration drift detection.
• Mentor and grow the internal DevOps team; lead knowledge sharing and drive tool/standards adoption across teams.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients to tailor DevOps strategies to infrastructure realities and regulatory compliance needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience, including 3+ years in a DevOps leadership role.
• Expertise with Terraform, Helm charts, and Kubernetes (Helm 3, Kustomize, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Istio or other service mesh implementations.
• Experience in vault-based secret management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SSL key and certificate management, automated renewal, and secure storage.
• Deep understanding of identity and access management in enterprise environments (SAML, OAuth2, LDAP/AD integration).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation and tooling.
• Working experience with Spring Boot microservices, Kafka/ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, and Oracle in production.
• Clear understanding of DevSecOps principles, security scanning, and compliance pipelines.
• Experience building and maintaining multi-environment/multi-tenant platforms across on-prem, hybrid, or cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to operate across cross-functional and customer-facing teams.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud-native architecture on AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure.
• Experience with policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper), automated drift detection.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security concepts and implementation.
• Contributions to open-source DevOps tooling or custom internal platforms.
