  • Validate targets using competitive benchmarking, customer satisfaction, and quality data.
  • Communicate occupant and mechanical package targets by developing and cascading 3D CAD zones.

What you'll do...
  • Create & maintain EBOM & VSS CAD as required for all Vehicle Architecture deliverables.
  • Coordinate efforts between cross-functional activities (D&R, Vehicle Engineering, Design, VO, Service, Suppliers, etc.) to ensure architectural compatibility between occupant and mechanical targets and designs.
  • Lead development of solutions and alternatives to meet occupant and mechanical package targets with consideration for cross-functional trade-offs (quality, function, weight, cost, assembly feasibility, etc.).
  • Lead resolution of target incompatibilities with Design and D&R engineers through PPAT, AAF, VADR, and VPAT meeting forums to ensure targets are met.
  • Lead design verification testing (i.e. ground, powertrain, tire clearance testing and surface scanning) and documentation to support engineering sign-off of prototypes at key prototype gateways.
  • Support development of globally consistent processes, standards, and methods with core occupant and mechanical Technical Experts.

You'll have...
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Human Factors).
  • 3+ years' experience in automotive mechanical or occupant package engineering.
  • Proficiency in CATIA/VisMockup.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects.
