Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled OIPA Configuration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring business rules specific to insurance products, with a focus on life insurance for policy administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, a deep understanding of insurance business functions, and expertise in configuring complex functional components, formulas, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and configure complex functional components, formulas, and workflows tailored to OIPA insurance products.
Develop processes for seamless integration with internal and third-party systems.
Provide quality review of team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Design logical queries to facilitate calculations, reporting, and implementation of complex formulas.
Identify, recommend, and implement standardization and consolidation opportunities across affiliate systems.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and understanding of insurance policy administration.
Proactively assess short and long-term design implications for effective and efficient operations.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to produce technical specifications for custom development and systems integration.
Produce detailed technical design documents aligned with architectural specifications.
Oversee custom development and quality assurance efforts to ensure compliance with requirements.
Participate in and lead project meetings with customers as needed.
Manage multiple development designs and projects to meet project and customer timelines.
Participate in internal projects as required.
Highly Desired
LOMA certification and knowledge of insurance business functions including underwriting, policy issuance, payment processing, claims processing, etc.
Working knowledge of OIPA Versions V10.
Familiarity with Oracle SOA and BPM is a NICE TO HAVE
