Bison Oil & Gas IV operates in the DJ Basin of Colorado and Wyoming. This role is critical to the company's success because the primary responsibility will be maintaining the corporate reserve database, which ties directly to the company's value. In this role, the engineering tech will work with other disciplines to ensure the key assumptions in the database are correct and accurately portray the company s value. This role will also support A&D processes on the engineering side as Bison continues to look for opportunities to grow the asset base. The role will also provide visibility into the company s monthly performance compared to the annual budget.

Summary:
The Senior Reservoir Engineering Tech plays a crucial role in optimizing our asset development strategies through supporting advanced data analysis and cashflow modeling. Their contributions directly influence decision-making processes, ensuring efficient extraction and maximization of hydrocarbon resources.
Job Responsibilities and Functions:
Manage Bison s reserves database in ARIES to ensure inputs and outputs are reflective of the latest trends and performance
Conduct economic lookback analysis in ARIES
Collaborate with Geology, GIS, Planning, and Finance to integrate data into reservoir models
Regularly generate ARIES outputs used for forward looking financial performance
Perform decline curve analysis on producing wells and economic evaluations to assess well profitability
Support A&D technical underwriting efforts
Generate visualizations and reports using PowerBI and Spotfire to communicate performance effectively
Occasionally provide technical support to field operations teams to ensure the reservoir management objectives are met
Stay updated with industry best practices
All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience (required):
Bachelor s degree in a technical field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience with an Onshore US upstream operator
Expert in ARIES software capable of front & back-end data manipulation
Exceptional ability to QC ARIES outputs and identify errors with the ability to correct them
Proficiency in database management, manipulation, and analysis using SQL
Experience in creating visualizations and dashboards using PowerBI and Spotfire
Familiarity with GIS mapping
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Education and Experience (preferred):
Bachelor s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and data analytics techniques applied to reservoir engineering
Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation
DJ Basin Reservoir Engineering Tech experience
Additional Information
Compensation:
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $109,200 - $176,300 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

Location:
This position is located Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.
Work Environment:
This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public workstation (cubicle) or private office.
Physical Demands:
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
Position Type and Working Hours:
This is a full-time position. We operate on a 9/80 work schedule. Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on working Fridays. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.
Travel:
Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
