Position Overview:

 

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to focus on electrical designs, managing project details, and ensuring technical excellence across a variety of building and infrastructure projects.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead electrical engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle, including client communication, pre-design analysis, detailed design, meetings, and on-site visits.
  • Develop initial design concepts for a broad range of project types, taking overall responsibility for electrical engineering deliverables within the Wisconsin office.
  • Apply independent judgment to evaluate, adapt, and refine standard engineering techniques and methods to meet unique project needs.
  • Possess strong knowledge of consulting and construction workflows, including plan/specification development, design-build processes, and coordination with construction managers.
  • Oversee project design progress and ensure alignment with regulatory agencies, such as city, county, and state authorities, as well as outside stakeholders.
  • Tackle complex engineering challenges, such as conflicting design requirements, material constraints, and difficult coordination issues.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between clients, agencies, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare complete electrical construction documentation including single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings, as well as technical specifications, estimates, and contract documents. Also assist with bidding, contract administration, and site-based project management activities.
  • Conduct system analyses (arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies) using power systems analysis software.
  • Have a solid understanding of power system protection and relaying principles for electrical distribution.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.

 

Requirements

 

  • Low, Medium & High Voltage Power Distribution
  • Electrical Equipment: Substations, Switchgear, and Protective Relaying
  • System Modeling: Arc Flash, Short Circuit & Coordination Studies
  • Equipment Maintenance & Electrical Testing
  • Interior and Exterior Lighting Systems
  • Emergency/Backup Power Systems
  • Grounding and Lightning Protection Systems

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not mandatory.
  •  
  • Experience: 5–10+ years in electrical engineering is ideal, but we welcome candidates with a broad range of experience levels. Familiarity with AutoCAD and power system analysis tools such as SKM or ETAP
