Position 1
Application Analyst Cerner (Core EHR)
Duration: 6 9 Months
Location: Remote
Role Summary
The Cerner Application Analyst manages the configuration, testing, and upgrade readiness of Cerner Millennium modules integrated with imaging, lab, and scheduling systems.
This role ensures system stability and adherence to Ascension s governance standards during application and database upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Cerner upgrade cycles, patches, and environment refreshes
- Validate integration points with PACS, RIS, Radiology, and Oncology modules
- Conduct regression testing and coordinate validation across clinical users
- Document system changes, configuration updates, and test results
- Coordinate with CernerWorks and AT teams for environment provisioning and validation
- Manage data extracts and reports for upgrade readiness assessments
- Support downstream teams with API and HL7 validation
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Cerner Millennium, PowerChart, RadNet, PathNet, or Oncology modules
- Understanding of HL7, FHIR, and interface engine workflows
- Knowledge of SQL queries, batch job scheduling, Citrix environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms for change tracking
Experience
- 3 6 years as a Cerner or EHR Analyst
- Experience in large-scale vendor upgrade coordination or data migration
- Background in clinical operations or healthcare informatics preferred
Position 2:
Application Analyst Oncology Systems
Duration: 6 9 Months
Location: Remote
Role Summary
The Oncology Application Analyst supports oncology and radiation systems such as Elekta MOSAIQ, ARIA, DynaCAD, Invivo, and other oncology imaging platforms. The analyst plays a critical role in system validation, interface testing, and compliance with regulatory safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of oncology application migrations and version upgrades
- Coordinate vendor/internal testing cycles for treatment planning and imaging software
- Validate database migration, data integrity, and audit compliance
- Execute test scripts for radiation oncology workflows (scheduling, simulation, treatment)
- Monitor integration with EMR, lab, and billing systems via HL7 and DICOM RT
- Provide tiered support during deployment and hypercare
- Collaborate with physics and oncology clinical teams for validation testing
Technical Skills
- Experience with DICOM RT, HL7, and oncology data workflows
- Familiarity with oncology systems: Elekta MOSAIQ, Varian ARIA
Position 3:
Application Analyst Radiology Systems
Duration: 6 9 Months
Location: Remote
Role Summary
The Radiology Application Analyst supports migration, integration, and validation activities across imaging systems such as PACS, DynaCAD, Invivo, DEXIS, Sirona, and other post-processing tools. The analyst ensures that application upgrades are tested, validated, and deployed with zero disruption to clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate application upgrades and server migrations for radiology PACS and post-processing systems
- Collaborate with AT, vendors, and field engineers to plan and execute maintenance windows
- Perform integration testing with RIS, EMR, and HL7 interfaces
- Conduct regression and UAT testing with Radiologists and Technologists
- Validate DICOM workflow, image routing, and study retention policies post-upgrade
- Maintain application configuration for user permissions and modality mappings
- Document issues, root causes, and validation results in compliance with change management standards
- Provide Level 2/3 support during go-live and hypercare
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of DICOM, HL7, IHE profiles, and PACS/RIS integration
- Experience with Philips IntelliSpace, GE PACS, McKesson, or Merge PACS
Experience
- 3 5 years in healthcare IT or radiology systems
- Hands-on experience coordinating EHR upgrades or interface validation
- Exposure to multi-location clinic operations is desirable
Position 4:
Application Analyst Ambulatory Systems
Duration: 6 9 Months
Location: Remote
Role Summary
The Ambulatory Application Analyst manages EMR scheduling and patient engagement applications used in outpatient specialty clinics.
The analyst ensures smooth upgrades and integration between practice management systems, EHRs, and imaging platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support version upgrades, patching, and workflow testing for ambulatory EHRs
- Validate scheduling, registration, and billing workflows post-upgrade
- Conduct functional regression testing with clinic end-users
- Coordinate interface validation between Ambulatory EHR and imaging systems
- Maintain configuration and user access controls
- Prepare training materials for clinic staff during system changes
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Epic Ambulatory, AthenaHealth, Cerner Ambulatory
- Understanding of HL7, CCD/C-CDA interface troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM workstation management
- Experience with SQL Server reporting tools and UAT frameworks
Experience
- 3 5 years in ambulatory EHR and practice management systems
- Hands-on experience coordinating EHR upgrades and interface validation
- Exposure to multi-location clinic operations and provider scheduling systems
