Application Architect

Job Summary: The Application Architect provides the technical vision and direction within an application domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and driving the development and governance of frameworks, platforms, and standards. This role guides teams through architectural best practices and leads solution evaluations while supporting technical staff through mentorship and hands-on technical leadership. Job Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and communicate the application architecture and roadmap Design, document, develop, and govern frameworks/platforms for wider technical use Create and evolve overall application architecture strategy aligned with enterprise standards Advocate and govern best practices and architectural trends across the application domain Establish and maintain standards for design documentation and stakeholder communication Conduct product and solution evaluations within the architecture domain Mentor technical delivery staff and lead proof-of-concept initiatives Deliver solutions aligned to IT strategic roadmaps and business requirements Ensure consideration of performance, security, availability, and environment configuration Support digital and backend application development Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills: Bachelors Degree Minimum 5 years of related experience Proven AWS development and architecture experience Strong problem-solving and estimation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to various audiences Experience with React and TypeScript Hands-on experience with Agile architecture practices Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud data infrastructure Preferred Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities Adaptability to fast-paced environments and ability to manage multiple priorities Experience working in consumer-centric or fintech environments Knowledge of banking data models and financial systems Experience with digital, backend applications and data solution testing Understanding of advanced technologies including data science, ML/AI Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to innovate and lead technology evolution Strong professional demeanor and ability to build credibility with leadership and cross-functional teams Education: Bachelors Degree (required) Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in application architecture and related technical areas
