Sr. Cloud Networking Engineer Job Description:
As a Fortune 500 company dedicated to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Networking Engineer to join our dynamic IT Networking and Security team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud networking infrastructure to support our business-critical applications and services.
Sr. Cloud Networking Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and implement Cloud WAN Architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our cloud networking environment.
• Utilize Megaport and Equinix Interconnect Services to establish and manage secure and reliable connections between our on-premises infrastructure and various cloud service providers.
• Implement and optimize Networking Cloud Handoff solutions to facilitate seamless data transfer and traffic management across multiple cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard our cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues and performance bottlenecks in collaboration with other IT teams and service providers.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance our cloud networking architecture and capabilities.

Sr. Cloud Networking Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on cloud networking in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Expertise in Cloud WAN Architecture design and implementation, with proven experience in utilizing Megaport and Equinix Interconnect Services.
• Proficiency in Networking Cloud Handoff technologies and solutions, including direct peering and virtual network integration.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, including networking services like VPC, VNet, and Virtual Network Gateways.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Sr. Cloud Networking Engineer Peripheral Skills and Experience:

• Experience with network automation and scripting using tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with container networking technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or equivalent.
