Location: Warren, NJ (3 days onsite required)

Job Description:
Our client, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a highly experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Scrum principles and practices, combined with significant experience working within the insurance industry. This role requires a seasoned professional who can effectively guide teams, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative environment to deliver high-value solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more development teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective).
  • Coach and mentor the team on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and values.
  • Facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog.
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and ensure smooth sprint execution.
  • Promote self-organization and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Track and communicate team progress, sprint metrics, and overall project status to stakeholders.
  • Support the team in delivering high-quality products that meet business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Apply insurance industry knowledge to facilitate project delivery and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Guide the team through Agile best practices in the Insurance domain.
Qualifications:
  • 9-11 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 4-5 years of experience working within the insurance domain is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor teams.
  • Ability to remove impediments and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working 3 days a week in an office environment.
