Title: JD 7150 - Senior Drupal Developer Acquia CMS / AWS CloudFront

Duration: 12 months (possible extension)

Overview:
Seeking an experienced Drupal and Acquia CMS developer to support content management enhancements, accessibility remediation, and integration work within an enterprise web platform. The role includes operational support, development, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide development and operational support for Drupal and Acquia CMS, including module updates, enhancements, and defect fixes.
  • Support accessibility remediation and implement accessibility enhancements per WCAG 2.1 standards.
  • Develop and document enhancements for content automation and migration of custom web applications.
  • Create user guides, desk manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and optimized web solutions.
  • Conduct ongoing knowledge transfer sessions and peer programming activities.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of web application development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Drupal development with custom module and theme creation.
  • Experience with Acquia CMS, Acquia Cloud, and site hosting.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and relational databases (SQL/MySQL).
  • Familiarity with AWS CloudFront, WAF, and other AWS web services.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and Section 508 compliance.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and user guides.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with automated content publishing and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with Acquia BLT, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices.
  • Prior experience supporting large public-sector or enterprise web environments.
