Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Prototype Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of hands-on tasks, from repetitive assembly operations to complex developmental work on ordnance systems and components. The Technician will work closely with Engineering, utilizing detailed documentation and technical drawings to assemble, modify, and test mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly and subassembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical components for ordnance systems, ranging from repetitive tasks to complex, non-repetitive developmental work.
  • Independently assemble electro-mechanical and/or electronic systems and prototypes following a variety of technical documentation, including assembly drawings, shop aids, schematics, engineering drawings, sketches, and detailed written and verbal work instructions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems during the assembly or prototyping process and see solutions through to completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with Mechanical Engineers and other personnel to assist in the development, fabrication, modification, assembly, and testing of engineering designs, components, and prototypes.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and basic computer applications to perform work.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and detail in all operations.
  • Work on-site daily and be willing and able to work additional hours, including weekends, when required by production schedules or developmental timelines.


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school/trade school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of work experience or equivalent in a precision manufacturing environment.


Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with engineers and peers.
  • Proven ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Highly detail, safety, and quality oriented.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working as a technician in an Aerospace or Defense Product Environment.
  • Basic understanding of 3D CAD software.
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Principles.


Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring daily presence at the facility. Overtime, including weekend work, may be required based on business need.
