Job Details

JDA TSG is seeking a candidate with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and multi-tenant organization (MTO) expertise to guide enterprise customers through complex cloud migration journeys as a Customer Engineer. In this senior, customer-facing role, you'll advise organizations on cross-tenant migration planning, identity strategy, coexistence architecture, and post-migration optimization, ensuring successful transitions across email, collaboration, and identity workloads.

You’ll work alongside customer stakeholders, partners, and Microsoft field teams to design scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments that support long-term success in multi-tenant Microsoft 365 scenarios.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000K based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Guide enterprise customers through the end-to-end cross-tenant migration lifecycle, including readiness assessment, planning, coexistence design, and post-migration support.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and strategy sessions to evaluate current tenant architecture, define migration paths, and develop tailored coexistence models.
  • Provide architectural guidance on identity strategy, domain transfer planning, mail flow design, and hybrid/coexistence scenarios.
  • Advise customers on Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive content migration, including structure mapping, access control, and user experience considerations.
  • Support development of migration playbooks, automation frameworks, and template libraries for reusability and scalability.
  • Ensure alignment with Microsoft governance models, security best practices, and compliance requirements throughout migration engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, support, and partner teams to resolve blockers and promote delivery excellence.
  • Stay current with the Microsoft 365 roadmap, particularly cross-tenant migration capabilities, MTO evolution, and identity federation strategies.

  • Microsoft 365 Workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive
  • Migration Strategy: Cross-tenant mail flow, domain moves, coexistence setup, mail routing
  • Identity & Access: Azure AD, B2B/B2C, hybrid identity, trust relationships
  • Migration Tools & Frameworks: Microsoft native tooling, PowerShell scripting, third-party tooling (preferred)
  • Architecture & Governance: Multi-tenant environments, Zero Trust, Microsoft CAF & governance models
  • Change Management: User experience, licensing strategy, downtime mitigation, communication planning

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 15+ years of IT experience required
  • 7+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments, with specific focus on tenant migrations or MTO architectures.
  • Strong understanding of identity, collaboration, and mail flow in Microsoft 365.
  • Experience conducting customer-facing workshops and guiding large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cross-tenant coexistence planning, domain transfer strategy, and Teams migration scenarios.
  • Ability to guide customers through strategic decisions, while balancing technical, compliance, and business considerations.
