Position: Technical Publisher

Location: Ft. Walton Beach, FL

Duration : 12 month contract

Rate Range?: $35-40/hour

Position Overview

We are hiring for a Technical Publications Specialist to support a long-standing aerospace and defense program. This role involves interpreting and analyzing engineering, reliability, maintainability, and supply chain data to develop support solutions and technical documentation. The specialist will contribute to provisioning, spares analysis, maintenance planning, and logistics support documentation. This includes writing and maintaining technical manuals for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.

Day to Day Responsibilities / Typical Day Look Like

• Develop multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment subsystems
• Research and evaluate technical source data and specifications
• Create and maintain documentation including theory of operations, troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, installation/removal procedures, and schematics
• Collect, analyze, and validate source data based on predefined assumptions
• Estimate the impact of proposals or changes on publication elements
• Support logistics analysis and provisioning recommendations for spare parts and maintenance resources
• Assist in evaluating fleet performance, reliability, and availability to inform maintenance concepts

Requirements

• Experience using and developing technical data from a leading aerospace client and its suppliers
• Proficiency in authoring tools and applications such as Arbortext, Adobe Pro X, Excel, Word, CITRIX, REDARS, ADO, and proprietary aerospace software tools
• Strong understanding of technical publication development and logistics support analysis
• Bachelor's degree and typically 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination (e.g., Master's + 1 year, or 7 years of relevant experience)
