Job Overview
The Technology Solutions Manager plays a critical role on mid-to-large sized initiatives, leading scoping discussions, MVP determination, technical visioning and setting the overall technical delivery strategy. Technical Product and Solution Manager is responsible for leading a team in the development, management and release of integrated product and services roadmaps. This role focuses on optimizing our release processes, partnering with key engineering and technical partners to ensure stable deployments, risk identification and risk mitigation to support the go to market plan, performance, driving revenue growth, and achieving profitability objectives. The TSM partners with the business to drive prioritization and solution delivery approach, and across technology groups to ensure design and delivery of a complete and concise solution that addresses the business need.

Base Pay Range: $95,300 - $171,900

Job Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Partners with the business drive strategy, prioritization, approach, and goals of initiative.
- Prepares high level solution design presentations for leadership review. Functions as a key project decision maker.
- Serves as a SME of existing functionality for a channel. Manages inception activities, including breakdown of product requirements and MVP scope definition.
- Partners with Senior leadership to define technology strategy approach for initiatives and to provide recommendations on scope delivery phasing/work streams.
Project Management
- Release Management: Overseeing the entire release lifecycle, including validation, requirements specification, feature and release prioritization, and risk identification.
- Technical Rigor and Discipline: Ensuring rigorous application of technical knowledge to manage products and services through their release lifecycle, maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
- Serves as technical owner (accountable IT representative) and is responsible for technical stewardship of a large initiative.
- Leads the delivery of large and complex technology solutions by providing leadership in analysis, design, and project and product management.
- Supports Project Management on escalation resolution for technical solution issues.
- Owns scope decomposition and negotiation of MVP for large and complex cross domain initiatives. Performs day-to-day management of business stakeholder relationships on large and complex cross domain initiatives.
- Provides leadership in evolving design and orchestrates solutions across domain teams.
Relationship and People Management
- Serves as technical owner (accountable IT representative) and is responsible for technical stewardship of T-Mobile's Web and Engineering releases.
- Leads the release delivery of large and complex technology solutions by providing leadership in analysis, design, and project and product management
- Identifies, analyzes, and synthesizes information, applying critical thought to present the information in a clear and meaningful way.
- Leads across many IT teams, and Business to ensure clarity on assessment impacts in alignment with scope of project or initiative.
- Communicates technical and functional requirements using an effective, efficient, and creative approach with a high degree of collaboration and influence.
- Identifies improvements, makes critical decisions, and works with subject matter experts and leaders throughout the organization to implement solutions.
- Multi-tasks while managing multiple projects from end to end, in a demanding and rapidly changing environment. Effectively presents to senior level leadership.
- Accountable for technical solution delivery on initiatives, including scope negotiation, solution alignment and timeline management.
- Works independently as well as collaboratively. Mentors and leads more junior level TSM resources.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 4-7 years of related work experience.
- Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
- Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
- Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives.
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated application of all facets of systems development lifecycle and technology operations.
- Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering software across multiple teams. Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse.
- Ability to leverage business knowledge, sound judgement, and resourcefulness to determine appropriate course of action in challenging, ambiguous situations.
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, technical and nontechnical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data and use the data to drive decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership. Provides key input to facilitate.
