  • Supporting the review, debugging, and troubleshooting of silicon devices under test, as well as associated custom hardware.

  • Conducting and documenting characterization tests, contributing to the creation of detailed and actionable test reports.

  • Developing, assembling, and maintaining custom test boards and hardware solutions to streamline testing, debugging, and validation activities.

  • Collaborating closely with analog designers, hardware engineers, and cross-functional team members to optimize testing processes and resolve technical challenges.

  • Ensuring lab equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and ready for use in fast-paced R&D cycles.

  • Continuously seeking process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reliability in lab operations.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Accelerate the development and validation of industry-leading silicon IP, directly supporting Synopsys' core mission of innovation.

  • Ensure the reliability and performance of high-speed SerDes PHYs, contributing to the success of customer applications in data centers, communications, and beyond.

  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between engineering teams, helping to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.

  • Enhance the quality and comprehensiveness of test documentation, enabling rapid knowledge sharing and informed decision-making.

  • Drive improvements in lab infrastructure and processes, setting new standards for efficiency and effectiveness in silicon validation.

  • Support Synopsys' reputation as a global leader in semiconductor IP through your commitment to excellence and innovation.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven hands-on debugging skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving in lab environments.

  • Experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other essential lab instrumentation.

  • Familiarity with interface protocols such as USB, PCI Express, SATA, and Ethernet.

  • Basic understanding of communication interfaces including JTAG, I2C, and SPI.

  • Exposure to software programming-experience with MATLAB or Python is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Who You Are:

  • Collaborative team player who values open communication and knowledge sharing.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to thorough documentation and follow-through.

  • Adaptable and flexible, able to efficiently manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
