DevOps Engineer

Introduction:

NO SUB-CONTRACTING !!! DIRECT W/2'S ONLY ! BE LOCAL TO BAY AREA AND ABLE TO BE ONSITE 3 DAYS A WEEK 

Our direct long term client,  Early Clinical Development (ECD) department is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join the Clinical Data Insights & Automation team (CDI&A). The CDI&A team collaborates with various stakeholders involved in the clinical development process to develop industry-leading solutions for complex business problems. The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying software that interacts with cutting-edge generative AI models and applications, impacting our ability to deliver innovative solutions leveraging AI technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and develop software applications to support clinical development
  • Integrate AI/LLM capabilities to enhance data processing and workflows
  • Develop and maintain deployment pipelines for AI-enhanced applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in generative AI and machine learning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and services

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with front-end frameworks (preferably Vue.js) and back-end web frameworks in Python and/or JavaScript
  • 2+ years of developing and deploying AI/ML solutions or applications
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with containerized workflows and architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years of DevOps experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and GitOps
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Knowledge of system administration, particularly with Linux
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Huggingface, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
  • Experience with database administration and management
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies and performance engineering
  • Experience with test automation tools
  • Knowledge of NLP/LLMs and CRDT technologies
  • Basic knowledge of clinical drug development
