Overview
DecisionPoint seeks an O&E Documentation Manager to lead the development, management, and maintenance of Operations & Engagement (O&E) documentation within a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality SOPs, workflows, governance artifacts, roles and responsibilities documents, and operational guidance aligned with communications governance standards.
The O&E Documentation Manager ensures all documentation is accurate, version-controlled, validated by stakeholders, 508-compliant, and accessible across teams. This role works closely with the PMO, O&E, IT/Cyber/Data Operations, communications governance, and other mission partners to maintain a consistent and well-managed document ecosystem.
This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities
The O&E Documentation Manager will:
- Develop, edit, and maintain O&E SOPs, process workflows, governance artifacts, and roles/responsibilities documentation.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with enterprise communications governance and O&E operational standards.
- Maintain version control, document lifecycle management, naming conventions, and archival practices.
- Ensure all documentation meets Section 508/WCAG accessibility requirements.
- Validate content accuracy through coordination with O&E, PMO, IT, Cybersecurity, Data Operations, and communications stakeholders.
- Standardize document formats, templates, and visual structures for clarity and consistency.
- Translate complex operational processes into clear, structured, user-friendly documents.
- Support governance reviews, compliance checks, and document approvals.
- Maintain documentation repositories, indexes, metadata, and cross-references.
- Conduct periodic document audits to ensure accuracy, currency, and alignment with updated processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across documentation and O&E governance practices.
Clearance Requirement

Education (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Information Science, Knowledge Management, or a related field.
Experience (Required)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, knowledge management, or process documentation.
- Experience producing SOPs, workflows, governance materials, or operational documentation.
- Experience working in federal or DoD environments (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience ensuring documentation meets quality, accuracy, and compliance requirements.
Technical Knowledge (Required)
- Strong understanding of documentation standards, templates, and structured writing.
- Familiarity with Section 508/WCAG accessibility and document remediation.
- Experience using document management systems, collaboration platforms, and content repositories.
- Knowledge of process mapping tools, workflow design, and visual documentation practices.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience with O&E documentation, PMO processes, or enterprise governance.
- Familiarity with content strategy or knowledge management frameworks.
