Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe DB2 Developer for a Contract with a client in Columbus, OH. You willdesign and develop mainframe applications while ensuring efficient DB2 database management and JCL.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour

Mainframe DB2 Developer job responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using DB2, COBOL, and JCL.
- Perform DB2 application development and optimization for high-performance systems.
- Write and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling.
- Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices for mainframe environments.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to DB2, COBOL programs, and JCL jobs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development and maintenance.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Mainframe DB2 application development, Enterprise COBOL, and JCL.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize mainframe solutions while adhering to best practices and performance standards.
