Manufacturing Test Engineer Test Specification
This role is focused on writing and documenting test specifications. Engage with CM, develop test specifications (what to test, how to test, steps, loading images or certificates and boot loaders).
Does not require software development, although that would be a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and deploying test solutions for complex electronics in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

What you ll be able to do:
- System-Level Testing Development: You will work closely with the HW design, software teams and contract manufacturer to implement the complete test stations for our manufacturing lines. This includes defining the hardware for system-level testing and creating the processes for full server burn-in testing to ensure maximum reliability.
- Diagnostic Test Creation: In direct collaboration with the software development team, you will develop the essential diagnostic tests required for comprehensive product functional testing. Your work will be crucial for identifying and isolating failures efficiently during production.
- Test Plan Development: You will be responsible for creating detailed, end-to-end test plans. These plans will serve as the blueprint for the factory, ensuring the production line flow is efficient, test coverage is thorough, and all processes are perfectly aligned with product requirements and quality standards.
- ODM Collaboration and Production Architecture: You will partner directly with production engineers at our Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). Together, you will architect the entire production line process, designing the physical flow, defining test coverage at each stage, and creating detailed throughput models to meet our critical capacity and scaling needs.
The minimum requirements we seek:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing test engineering
- Proven experience architecting test processes and successfully transferring them from a lab environment to a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Direct experience working with and managing external manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs).
- Strong hands-on experience with testing, diagnostics, and debugging complex electronic hardware (e.g., servers, compute modules, or similar systems).
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test for high-performance compute or complex electronic systems.
- C++ or Python
- Experience in a bare metal and RTOS environment.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence or a similar system for tracking inputs/results.
- Proficiency in developing data logging systems, working with databases, and creating data analysis tools.
- Experience in developing test-related user interfaces.
