Job Details

NewGen is seeking a Lead security architect to serve as the key Point-of-Contact for security security-related decisions. Drive remediating of security vulnerabilities proactively and based upon security scanning reports. Make recommendations for increasing MeF DevSecOps maturity. Drive recommendations and provide guidance related to the Portal, which hosts several MeF applications. DoD Secret clearance or IRS MBI required.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and extend security solution architectures estimated 25%
  • Provide recommendations/architectural options and solutions, especially related to security for migrating to containers and to the Cloud estimated 25%
  • Coordinate team activities related to security vulnerability remediation and responding to customer requests estimated 15%
  • Attend meetings and provide recommendations related to the Portal within which applications run 15%
  • Maintain and/or create contractual deliverables in accordance with IRS templates estimated 10%
  • Provide LoE estimates for Impact Assessments and VROMs estimated 5%
  • Provide recommendations for implementing DevSecOps practices on MeF estimated 5%

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

  • Experience developing, in collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, partners, project teams, and vendors, security architectures for large, complex programs - 8+ years
  • Experience in leading team(s) of architects and/or developers 8+ years
  • Strong customer communication skills, both oral and written 8+ years
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in the Cloud 5+ years
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in containers 5+ years
  • Experience developing security solutions for AWS GovCloud 2+ years
  • Experience with microservices security 4+ years
  • Experience with architecting Spring Boot applications 2+ years
  • Experience enhancing Portal architectures 4+ years
  • Experience in developing DevSecOps solutions on complex projects 4+ years
  • Experience with the Linux platform 4+ years
  • Experience with CM tools, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM 4+ years
  • Experience developing (V)ROM estimates in response to requests for new work 3+ years
  • CISSP Certification
