Role: Sr Cloud Engineer (AWS Cloud Networking & Infrastructure)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Networking and Infrastructure Engineering. The ideal candidate has built cloud platforms end-to-end, understands complex network architectures, and can drive automation using Terraform and modern DevOps practices.
You will serve as the primary technical lead for cloud networking and infrastructure, collaborating with product, security, and platform engineering teams to design and operate secure, scalable, and reliable AWS cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and support AWS cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on networking (50 60%).
Architect and manage VPCs, Subnets, Routing, NAT, Transit Gateway (TGW), Direct Connect, Route53, and hybrid connectivity.
Implement and enhance cloud security using IAM, WAF, GuardDuty, Security Groups, NACLs.
Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, workspaces, CI/CD integration).
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Python, Go, and cloud-native automation frameworks.
Build and maintain AWS environments from scratch, including account setup, access management, landing zones, monitoring, and logging.
Troubleshoot complex issues including network flows, latency, DNS, routing, and multi-account connectivity.
Partner with architecture, product, and security teams to deliver resilient cloud solutions.
Lead operational processes (incident, request, change) and ensure alignment with cloud governance and compliance standards.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5 7 years' experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
3+ years hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Networking:
o VPC, Subnetting, Routing, NAT, IGW
o Transit Gateway (TGW)
o Direct Connect / VPN
o Route53 (private/public hosted zones)
o ALB / NLB, WAF, GuardDuty
Strong Terraform experience (writing modules, state management, IaC best practices).
Experience building AWS environments from scratch (not only maintaining existing platforms).
Solid understanding of IAM, cloud security, landing zones, and multi-account architecture.
Hands-on automation skills using Python or Go.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, or similar.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with EKS/AKS or container networking basics.
Working knowledge of CloudFormation, Ansible, Packer.
Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, request).
Experience in the Healthcare domain.
Cloud Computing, Paas, Lamda, Devops.
