Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- System Management: Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of C2 communication systems to ensure they are reliable and effective.
- Operational Support: Providing advanced support for command and control operations, ensuring that communication systems are functioning optimally and securely.
- Analysis and Optimization: Analyzing the performance of C2 communication systems and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Incident Management: Leading the response to incidents affecting C2 communication systems, including troubleshooting, resolution, and reporting.
- Integration and Testing: Ensuring that C2 communication systems are properly integrated with other IT and operational systems, conducting testing to validate functionality and performance.
- Policy and Compliance: Developing and enforcing policies and procedures related to the use and management of C2 communication systems, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Documentation: Providing training to users and junior staff on best practices for operating and managing C2 communication systems, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other IT and operational teams to ensure that C2 communication systems support broader mission objectives and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- C2 Systems Knowledge: In-depth understanding of command and control communication systems, including their architecture, protocols, and technologies.
- Network and Communication Technologies: Proficiency in network and communication technologies that underpin C2 systems, such as IP networking, satellite communications, and radio frequency (RF) systems.
- Security Practices: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to protect C2 communication systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Technical Analysis: Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Senior-Level Experience: Extensive experience in managing and supporting command and control communication systems, with a focus on system optimization and incident management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications related to communication technologies may be advantageous.
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects related to the deployment and enhancement of C2 communication systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and improve system performance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
- Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
