This position will involve remote work in a collaborative team environment, supporting the deployment of our proprietary software to Shipbuilders around the world.
What you will do
- Assist with onsite data collection and Shipyard AI implementation efforts
- Maintain relationships with key shipyard personnel
- Support the development of requirements documentation and related specifications, documentation, and business cases
- Assist in the design and deployment of solutions for proposals and follow-on work
- Attain basic knowledge of BigBear's services and software portfolio to assist in growth opportunities in the Shipyards
- Assisting in sales demos and customer presentations
- Provide feedback for product development
- Troubleshoot customer issues (as needed)
- Provide customer training on deployments
- Travel will be required as needed to support deployments of our solutions
What you need to have
- Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering or a similar field
- Instead of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience in shipbuilding with a focus on capacity planning and scheduling
- Passionate about providing high-quality, impactful solutions to real business opportunities and challenges
- Experience with project planning or engineering, ideally in a U.S. Navy, shipbuilding, or other manufacturing environment
What we'd like you to have
- Experience in large-scale system implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle approach (Scrum desired)
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling
- Knowledge of industry-standard development methodologies and technologies
