Job Details

Title: Technical Manager

Location: Indiana, IN(Hybrid)

Duration :: Long term

Minimum 1 week a month in Indiana during thebasic/detailed design phase of the project. Full time on site during theCommissioning phase of the project.

The Program Technical Office (PTO) will develop theautomation philosophy and technical standards for the program and ensureconsistency throughout the projects. During the project execution stage of theprojects the PTO will support and provide oversight to the individual projectteams. The PTO technical manager will be accountable for the management of PTOdeliverables and contribute technically to the PTO team.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and be accountable for thedelivery of the PTO scope

Plan, monitor and control PTO activities

Lead and manage the PTO Team

Communicate progress, issues, and needs to theAutomation Program Manager

Provide necessary progress data to the PMO to allowpreparation of monthly reports to stakeholders

Communicate automation staffing requests needed tomeet project timelines to the Overall Program Automation Leader & ProgramAutomation Manager

Support preparation of cost estimates for projectgate reviews and forecasts

Support schedule development, integration, andanalysis for the projects

Identify and analyze risks of technical andmanagement nature particular to the PTO

Provide technical consulting and support as a memberof the PTO team

Collaborate with their Digital/MES workstreamcounterpart leads to align the automation and digital solutions

Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders toensure the PTO deliverables meet business needs

Maintain compliance with training requirements

Role Requirement:

BS Engineering (or equivalent experience)

10+ years working Automation experience in thePharmaceutical Industry (preferable in API/drug substance manufacturing)

Previous experience in the delivery of largeAutomation Projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

5+ years experience in DeltaV Batch DCS

Preferable, previous experience with Allen-BradleyPLCs

Preferable, previous experience with Aveva PI

Proficiency in commonly used project management tools(scheduling P6/MS Project), metrics, risk management)

Exceptional teamwork abilities

Strong knowledge of GMPs, regulatory requirementsand computer system validation principles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills forboth technical and non-technical audiences
