Schedule: First Shift (Full-Time)
THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you a hands-on machinist with a knack for precision and problem-solving? We're looking for a skilled Machinist to join our team on a first shift temp-to-hire basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate manual and CNC machining tools including mills, lathes, and drills
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Set up, align, secure, and adjust workpieces and cutting tools
- Monitor machine performance, speeds, and feeds to ensure precision
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
- Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain detailed records of production and quality checks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and product quality
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong machining skills with the ability to interpret and design from blueprints
- 3D CNC and CAM programming experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software
- Ability to resolve routine mechanical and technical issues
- Comfortable with moderate supervision while completing complex tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
- Solid understanding of machine maintenance and safety best practices
BONUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with part design and prototype machining
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production environment
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of machining experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
