Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will manage and optimize enterprise-level network environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust performance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network solutions tailored to business needs.

Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 2 support to resolve network issues and maintain optimal system functionality.
Design, implement, and integrate advanced network solutions to meet specific business requirements.
Ensure the integrity and availability of network systems by applying best practices across multiple platforms.
Manage and configure Cisco routers, firewalls, and load balancing systems to optimize network performance.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues with data center technologies and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network security and performance.
Configure and maintain Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for seamless data routing.
Implement and manage Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls to strengthen network security.
Maintain documentation of network configurations and processes for operational efficiency.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades to existing systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience; Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering.
Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Specialist (CCNS), Cisco Certified Netware Engineer (CCNE), or Certified Information Systems Security Specialist (CISSS) are preferred.
Proficiency in Cisco routers, firewalls, and networking technologies.
Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and network load balancing.
Experience working with data center environments and infrastructure.
Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA.
Ability to work in multi-vendor and platform environments.
