Must have Skills:

• Demonstrated experience testing streaming video on native OTT devices, like Roku, Apple TV, Smart TVs, and/or mobile phones.
• Proficient in API service validations using tools like Splunk, Charles Proxy, and similar
• Experience with Agile methodologies and related tools, like JIRA

Bonus Skills:

• Experience working and collaborating with offshore teams
• Use of Data Analytics to support validation using tools like AWS OpenSearch, Kibana, or Tableau
• Experience testing ad insertion into streaming video

Soft Skills:

• Someone who is eager for learning
• Asks them questions in the interview process
• How do you deal with multiple priorities - give examples of a typical day
• Talking to devs, product owners

Interview Process:

• Single 1 hour - technical and soft skill questions
• Panel
• Fine with Webex
• Interviews will begin next week

Top Skills:

• Splunk queries
• Postman
• Proxy tools - they use Charles proxy but easy to learn
• IP video preferred
• Any video experience
• Automation not required but helpful to have

About the Position:

• Functional test reviews on IP video platform
• Test plan and design
• Test case/script execution, defect reporting and test closure
• Video validations

About the position:

• Mid level experience
• At least 1 professional position ideally in video space
• Working on an IP video platform
• Out in production in the field
• Manual testing for STVA
• Creating, managing updating test cases
• Managing regression work for front end clients for releases
• Video delivery testing
• Video on demand - updates on the packagers
• A lot of video related testing
• Embedded within the platform but working in conjunction with several other people
• Dividing and conquering

Must haves:

• front end software testing
• Video experience
• Testing advertising (star)
• Video testing for streaming
• Jira
• Test rail
• ALM quality center experience
• Postman (validate that the API's are responding correctly, this isnt a must have)

Day to day:

• Agile team
• Preparing for next release
• Front end test cases / updated existing
• Progression and regression testing
• Post release validation
• identifying bugs, getting with dev team to fix
• Software testing only
