Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on knowledge of SMP/E to Install, maintain, and configure base DB2 system libraries
- Configure and maintain DB2 data sharing across multiple Sysplex environments
- Manage and maintain IBM DB2 databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance.
- Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure database solutions are integrated with applications.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance and tune as necessary to optimize performance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an IBM DB2 Administrator or in a similar role, working with IBM DB2 database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
- Minimum 3 years of SMP/E experience including Installation, maintaining, and configuring base DB2 system libraries.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information
