Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Senior Manager, NPI Manufacturing Engineering to be located on site in Santa Clara, CA.

The Senior Manager, NPI Manufacturing Engineering is a critical leadership position overseeing the day to day manufacturing engineering operations. The position responsibilities will ensure the manufacturing line operates effectively, efficiently and with a quality mindset. This exciting opportunity will be instrumental in the continued development of processes and ability for multiple DFX efforts and further automation. Driving the internal processes with a continued improvement mindset will be another critical aspect of this role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Lead the direct line support Manufacturing Engineering team to provide strategic and technical guidance
  • \n
  • Oversee multiple groups executing multiple product lines simultaneously
  • \n
  • Establish KPIs for group and team members to meet programmatic and organizational goals
  • \n
  • Maintain compliance with quality system including overseeing corrective actions, material disposition and change orders
  • \n
  • Assess and collaborate on the manufacturing strategy for commercialization optimization including DFX, scalable processes and automation opportunities
  • \n
  • Long term vision to incorporate digital framework aspects to manufacturing operations
  • \n
  • Assess team and skill capability to ensure team member development
  • \n
  • Review, evaluate & manage process risk in the manufacturing environment (PFMEA) and associated mitigations
  • \n
  • Oversee the validation and qualification of manufacturing equipment and processes
  • \n
  • Work with Quality Engineering group to ensure that the team follows appropriate GMP, design history file (DHF), and device history record (DHR) guidelines per FDA requirements, and support design reviews in accordance with product development procedures.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
    \n
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required (preferably in Engineering or a technical discipline)
  • \n
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • \n
  • A minimum of 4 years of people management with an organization
  • \n
\n
    \n
  • Proven manufacturing operations experience
  • \n
  • Experience in the development and introduction of new products including quality and regulatory implications for the supply chain design
  • \n
  • Knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes, such as machining, plastics, electromechanical
  • \n
  • Excellent quantitative process development skills
  • \n
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing, design to value, design for lean sigma
  • \n
  • Experience in organizational design and accelerating talent through people development
  • \n
  • Comfortable navigating to deliver results in a global matrix organization
  • \n
  • This position may require 15% travel (domestic and international)
  • \n

Preferred:
    \n
  • Advanced degree in an Engineering or a Business-related discipline
  • \n
  • MedTech, Product or Process Engineering or Manufacturing Operations experience for complex electro-mechanical products
  • \n

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$138,000 - $238,050
