- Cisco Ecosystem Management: Administer and manage our Cisco ACI, NDFC, and DCM environments.
- Hybrid Cloud Integration: Contribute to our hybrid network architecture, ensuring seamless integration between on-prem data centers and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the build-out of new data centers, from initial planning and configuration to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth Layer 3 troubleshooting and configurations, applying a solid understanding of OSI model fundamentals.
- Network Automation: Utilize network automation tools such as Ansible and Python, and leverage Postman for API-based automation tasks.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a monthly on-call rotation (1 week primary, 1 week secondary) to ensure continuous network availability.
- Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to ensure seamless operation and integration across all systems.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven Data Center Experience: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end data center buildouts and ongoing operations, extending beyond basic rack-and-stack duties.
- Cisco Nexus Expertise: Deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching, particularly with the Nexus 9K series.
- Routing Protocol Mastery: Strong knowledge of routing protocols, including BGP (overlay & underlay), OSPF, and VRF.
- Hybrid Cloud Acumen: Experience working in hybrid cloud environments (on-premise combined with Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS).
- Firewall Fundamentals: Familiarity with Layer 3 firewall fundamentals (specific vendor experience not required).
- Automation Prowess: Hands-on experience with network automation using Ansible, Python, and API tools (e.g., Postman).
Bonus Points For:
- CCNP Data Center certification.
- Additional certifications in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Being local to Kansas City, MO, or Springfield, MO.
