BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer for an opportunity in Columbus OH!
Position Title: SRE/ Site Reliability Engineerr
Location: Columbus, OH
Anticipated Start Date: Jan5th 2026

Expected Duration: 6Months CTH
Job Type: Contract to Hire - Onsite
Pay Range: 55$-60$/hr on W2

Software Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer - Job Description
Requirements:
Formal training or certification in Software Engineering / Site Reliability Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Strong hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, deployment, and operational stability.
Practical exposure to product engineering and production/platform support, with a deep understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
Experience in coding, debugging, and maintaining applications within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.) and experience with database querying languages (SQL/NoSQL).
Experience across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security best practices.
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Cloud, AI/ML, or mobile development.
Ability to work with development toolsets to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve applications.
Strong understanding of engineering concepts including:
Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery
Test Driven Development
Cloud development practices
Monitoring & observability
