Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Lead the design of distributed audit service-based applications on event driven architecture in Apache Kafka. Architect domain- specific microservices in Java. Review architecture design of other developers. Implement chaos engineering for applications developed. Provide direct application support to customers. Implement monitors and traces for observability and resilience of applications and create dashboards in datadog. Responsible for technical mentoring of junior developers on the team in order to complete build and delivery within timelines. Perform deployment of applications using Kubernetes into the cloud. Perform deployment of applications using AWS and Terraform into the cloud. Implement blue/green deployment pipelines using Spinnaker. Enforce architecture standards in code. Write code and unit tests, and review pull requests. Develop and contribute to Integration test and end-to-end testing suites. Lead load testing and performance testing of applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a plus .
Skills Required: This position requires seven (7) years of experience with the following skills: Spring framework; and REST services. This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Bash script programming language; JUnit framework; version control including GIT and Bitbucket; Jenkins; Maven build tool; and relational databases (RDBMS) including Oracle and H2. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: programming languages including Java 11, Java 17, and Oracle PL/SQL; Project Reactor; Apache Kafka; J2EE; Java Messaging Service (JMS); Java Memory Model Management; Java Concurrency Pattern; Gradle build tool; SOLID architecture principles; design patterns including Factory, Adapter, Strategy, and Singleton; SOAP services; JDBC; and NoSQL databases including Neo4j and Cassandra. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: programming languages including Python and GoLang; CloudFoundry, Kubernetes, and AWS platforms; ECS; Terraform; and Event Driven Architecture.
