We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Planning Analyst / Merchandise Planner to join our Planning & Allocation team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving profitable sales growth by developing, analyzing, and executing sales, inventory, and margin plans that support business strategies.

  • Analyze historical data and current business trends to identify risks and opportunities by division, department, and class.

  • Develop preseason sales, gross margin, and inventory plans that align with company and product strategies.

  • Reconcile top-down and bottom-up planning forecasts to ensure alignment across the business.

  • Reforecast sales and manage inventory for basic styles and color variants to meet financial and operational goals.

  • Communicate weekly financial results and insights to cross-functional partners; recommend in-season pricing or inventory actions.

  • Support Monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB) forecasting, reconciling receipts, and ensuring action plans align with financial targets.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to roll out new inventory strategies and planning initiatives.

  • 3 5 years of experience in Inventory Planning, Merchandise Planning, Buying, or Allocation within the retail/apparel industry.

  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, or similar).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic agility; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proven track record of maintaining item-level forecasts and identifying trends or risks to support agile business decisions.

  • Experience with sales forecasting, inventory optimization, and receipt reconciliation.

  • Exposure to Open-to-Buy management and financial modeling.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance short-term needs and long-term planning.
